HOW TO MAKE A SUCCESSFUL LAUNCH

First of all, to facilitate the launching, it is very important to choose the right trailer. As we explain in our article "why a custom-made trailer" , our trailers adapt perfectly to your boat for an optimum launching.

Once on the slipway, we recommend that you position yourself in the center of it in reverse and carry out these 3 safety actions: apply the hand brake, engage a gear and turn off the vehicle's engine.

To avoid submersion and to make it easier to lower the boat, it should be positioned as far forward as possible on the trailer so that the rollers are in uniform contact with the wide part of the hull.

Then, the light/registration plate of your trailer must be removed, or in the case of Nautilus / Rocca / Satellite / OcĂ©ane trailers, you can simply slide the lights on the side rail up to the mudguard to keep them out of the water. You must also remove the lashing system, and pull up the boat's engine.

You can now back up the trailer taking care not to submerge the hubs which are certainly still hot after your ride. Indeed, contact with water could create a depression of the hubs and water infiltration in the bearings.

Water must not exceed the level of the trailer rim.

Thanks to the Goliath winch , you can easily lower your boat into the water. First make sure that the tipper is not in the down position, raise it if it is, then turn the crank handle in the direction of lowering to unwind the strap. Our rear tilt crossbar allows your boat to back up smoothly on the water without the need to submerge your trailer, even on very gentle inclined slopes.

Your boat should now be in the water, so you can remove the hook from the lashing ring, then position your crank handle on the spool axle to wind the strap.

Don't forget to tie up your boat while you remove the trailer from the hold and park.

You're ready to put to sea !
